This is an enumeration of the different ways of storing data in a byte stream. The values are used in the [DataTypeID] column of the [Entity] table. They are recorded in the [ID] column of the [DataType] reference table.

Name Value Meaning
DATA_TYPE_UNKNOWN 0 The format of the data is not known
DATA_TYPE_int8_t 1 A signed byte.
DATA_TYPE_uint8_t 2 An unsigned byte.
DATA_TYPE_ASCII 3 An ASCII character.
DATA_TYPE_wchar_t 4 A sixteen bit Unicode character in UCS-2 encoding. AKA "wide character"
DATA_TYPE_GUID 5 A 128-bit (16 byte) globally unique identifier.
DATA_TYPE_ASCII_GUID 6 A 128-bit globally unique identifier in ASCII format.
DATA_TYPE_wchar_t_GUID 7 A 128-bit globally unique identifier in wide character format.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_int16_t 10 A signed sixteen bit (two byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_uint16_t 11 An unsigned sixteen bit (two byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_int24_t 12 A signed twenty-four bit (three byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_uint24_t 13 An unsigned twenty-four bit (three byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_int32_t 14 A signed thirty-two bit (four byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_uint32_t 15 An unsigned thirty-two bit (four byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
DATA_TYPE_LITTLE_ENDIAN_int48_t 16 A signed forty-eight bit (six byte) integer in little endian (Intel) layout.
